Getting a box of books that keeps you reading any hour you can spare, is a wonderful investment. I had read the first book, Redeeming Ryker, and loved it. However, re-reading it and then moving on to Saving Silas and Delivering Decker was the adventure I needed. Parents died in a massacre, foster homes, adoption, prison and hardships, had followed the three boys most of their lives. These books tell their story of finding new lives, loves and family. I loved every minute spent reading about the Savage brothers. Thanks for a wonderful job of writing.
This is a great box set. The savage boys had a hard life after their parents died, and Ana, Grace, and Hannah were the women who would make a difference in their lives.
Good book to read
I didn't know what to expect after small references to Ryker in the Second Chance series. Loved all three books.
Book #1 - Another great beginning to a new series, “The Boys of Furyâ€, by Kelly Collins. Ryker Savage is the oldest brother of three who is trying to keep his life together and search for his missing baby brother. After a horrific tragedy when Ryker was 8 years old, his baby brother, Decker, was adopted while Ryker and his younger brother Silas were not. Ryker still feels the guilt of that tragic day and continues to blame himself for the loss of the little girl who was always hanging around him. Ana Barrett was raised by her grandparents following the death of her parents. Now that her grandmother is gone, she finds herself the owner of a rundown house in Fury, Colorado. The past and present are about to collide! The story line and characters will hold your attention as Ryker and Ana find their way through the mystery surrounding that tragic day from so many years, ago.Book #2 - I LOVED this book!! The way Ms. Collins has continued the storyline is amazing! Silas is Ryker’s younger brother and he is home from the military deciding what his future will hold as his plans to remain in the military may not happen. In the meantime, he is helping his older brother Ryker and meets Grace. Grace is the best friend of Ryker’s wife Ana and she has some issues of her own. Everything about the book is great – the characters are genuine, the story grabs your attention and you don’t want to stop reading (I read this in one sitting and then was sorry that it was over), and there is action and humor – everything you need! I can’t wait for Decker’s story (although I guess I have to) as I am anxious to see how Ms. Collins finally brings the brothers together. This is the kind of series that you would want to read again – like visiting an old friend!Book #3 - I could hardly wait for this third book in the “Boys of Fury†series and it was everything and more that I hoped for. Ms. Collins has a way of grabbing your interest so that you don’t want to put the book down – and I didn’t – I read it until I finished it and then was sorry I didn’t have it to read the next day – but it was worth it. Ryder and Silas have been searching for Decker, their baby brother, for years and they finally locate him. Decker was adopted as a baby although he has no idea that he is adopted. He has been working for his father and feeling that although he has been trying to please his father that everything he does falls short. During a trip to Fury, he meets Hannah Banning, a waitress at the diner, and begins to have feelings for her that he knows his father won’t approve of. His father is dying and he feels that he needs to make his father proud although he feels that he is living a lie. Hannah has her own share of problems and has given up on the life she wants in order to support her mother and sister. Ms. Collins ends this series in such a way that all questions are answered and I love it when a book ends in such a satisfying way. Great book – great series! I received a free copy of these books and voluntarily chose to give an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
Three incredible books in one box set, bring together the Boys of Fury. After the violent death of their parents, they were split up and delivered into the foster care system.Redeeming Ryker: a moving story about loss and redemption. Ryker is living with deep regrets and inconsolable anger with one tender memory that keeps him human in the midst of a life lived in brokenness. Ana has no recall of her early life when her parents died and her grandparents made a home for her. As an artist she is struggling to make ends meet and when it seemed that she had reached the end of her rope, her grandmother died making her realise that there was indeed further she could fall. However, a surprise legacy from her grandmother takes Ana on a new path in life and there she meets Ryker. I loved both these characters and their undeniable attraction for one another. They both struggle against their feelings, without success. Just as destiny has brought them together, so they are fated to fall in love. I loved the secondary characters: Mona, Grace, Nate and Silas. Each one had their part to play and the story would have been incomplete without them. The dialogue is hilarious and I loved the wit and banter. However, it is also a deeply emotional story with so much pain that at times it seems that there will be no resolution to their sorrow.Saving Silas: is not as dramatic as the first book, it is nevertheless very enjoyable with the same type of sassy humour and off the wall situations. The Savage brothers have scarred hearts and take the offensive in every situation. However, that does not preclude them from tumbling into love and feeling protective of those they love in the same winner takes all manner. Grace followed her best friend to Fury when she found herself pregnant. Despite the name of the dust bowl town, Grace finds a mismatched family of the heart, if not blood. When Silas returns to his home town at a very fortuitous time, the attraction between Grace and Silas is instant, but the connection between Silas and Grace's son takes them both by surprise. Grace's past comes to haunt her and Silas' commitment to her is put to the test.Delivering Decker is the third and final book in the Boys of Fury series. I love Kelly Collins' writing and this romance pushes all the right buttons for me. Hannah plays a part in each of the books and in this novel, her true motivation and colours come out. Despite being feisty and somewhat spirited, she is dealing with her own demons and her caring nature comes to the fore. Decker's brothers have been searching for him for years and they finally manage to lure him to Fury where he gets to know the people of the town. Ultimately when the truth about Decker's origins are revealed, he is angry as he realises just how many lies he has been told, and even withholding the truth becomes a big deal for him. However, blood is thicker than water and Decker recognises that he has to make some tough decisions about his future. The romance between Decker and Hannah is heartwarming and the vulnerability that Decker shows makes both the reader and Hannah fall in love with him. This is a well written, heartwarming and an engrossing series, well worth reading. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
