About the Author
Dr. Joseph D. Schulman is an American pioneer in the fields of human reproduction and genetics. He had the unique privilege of working with Drs. Dr. Schulman has related some of the sacrifices, humility and politics of Dr. Edwards struggle and, as such, is an insight into the competition and battle to offer a major medical breakthrough for widespread clinical usefulness. It also resulted in the entirely new subspecialty of human in vitro fertilization. In addition to millions of successful births in infertile couples, it has contributed to sucessful treatment of several other serious genetic birth problems. Dr. Schulman has also described the politics surrounding the undeserved delay in Nobel Prize recognition of Dr. Edward's valuable research. It is definitely a story worth reading!
