CHELSEA MF'N MARIE!!!!!!!!! I'm so in love over here. Baby Gap has me all in my feelings. I feel like I'm Yaz, but why did you have to do me like with Georgia, huh? That wasn't right at all ma'am. Girl Yaz has me feeling like a kid again lol. There is so much I want to say, but I know I'm going to tell everything! Sooooooo, I'll wait. This is the same author that had me falling in love with Egyptian Unicorns! Her writing style is on fleek fleek. If you are a helpless, hopeless romantic, I highly recommend this book and this author's catalog. I promise she won't disappoint.
I loved Kaalan and Yazlyn...a lot. I loved that she was a hopeless romantic and she believed in love with her whole soul. Kaalan was wise beyond his years. This author is impressive with each new release she gains my respect.Now for the issues that I have as a reader...I am a little confused on timing. Kaalan’s dad was 55 and he and his mother had been married for 40 years.🤔 Details stand out to me, maybe not other readers but I kept going back scratching my head. That happens for sure, but it just threw a little because I feel like it would have been highlighted that they married at 15 and had 3 kids and made it. Then the beef with Kaalan and his brother. It was unbelievable that something as petty as the beef would have come to guns drawn and then they’re all good.Those are just my thoughts and I’ve come to love this author’s work, I just don’t want her to move so fast that the details don’t add up. Still, I am a fan and I’ll get off my soapbox.
Sooooo God blessed me with a snow day on Chelsea Maria’s release date and He continued to bestow his favor with this magnificently written book! The characters are multifaceted and relatable. And, the dialogue...the dialogue! I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard reading one of CM’s books (Girl, she mushed his face. I hollered). Yet, tackling real-life issues are real and multidimensional in this book. Do you just walk away after six years? And, feelings just don’t go away. The maturity in both characters to recognize and admit this but continue to move forward is something we don’t see in romance novels too often. It was also refreshing to read about a man of God and the struggles he encounters daily (and slip ups) “to be not conformed of this worldâ€. And, dare I say, especially being a lover of love-making scenes, it was refreshing to read a book where a couple’s mental health is just as powerful as the physical relationship. Now, I hope CM let us get a sneak peak of what Kaalan can do in book #2 because, and I quote (or at least paraphrase), “...can’t nothing on my body fit baby gapâ€. Sooo, um, yeah, CM owe us. LMBO! Anyway, just a down-right good read. Kudos Chelsea Maria!
This story had me all in my feelings. As a hopeless romantic, seeing the strong connection between Yaz and Kaalan was what my little heart needed!! I loved how he gave her everything she said she needed out of her husband and even more. I'm glad that she didnt give into Marshawn because they truly weren't on the same page. I'm curious about Georgia and Roman. I think they and Kaalan's brother need their own story. Idk if Georgia and Kaalan's brother would work as a couple, I believe they both deserve love like Yaz and Kaalan. Can't wait for part 2 of this story!!
Dont ever end a book like this what did Georgia do. When you have something good and you let it go someone will come in and treat them how you should have. I don't blame Yas at all who wants to be a girlfriend and baby mama. Kaalan came back into town for one thing and ended with something else. Dont take long with part 2.
First off, Yaz and Ka we're so cute. He was definitely a man beyond his years. That man had the words that make you wanna give yourself over and say to hell with it. I'm glad Yaz finally came to her senses and let Marshawn go. There is no way I would be with a man that long without having his last name. Now!!!! I know you didn't. How did you just leave us hanging like that with Georgia. I can't believe you. I hope we hear from her soon. As always, awesome read.

I absolutely love how you incorporate God in your couples, at least one of them all the time. I swear I wanna sing my favorite gospel song then breakout in a very seductive R&B joint, help me lord!!! Girl is all I can say!!!!! BTW, what did that peach do?
Bravo💞💞💞💞When I say this book was great, I mean it. I couldn’t put it down for a second. Chile Kaalan was a grown man and to think they fell in love while he kept true to his celibacy. I’m so happy Yaz didn’t sleep on him because of his age or because of Marshawn. I’m not too sure about Roman yet. Maybe Georgia & Kody will be a good match....
